My target is a group of females who are between the ages of 11- 15.  They are unemployed because they are still high school students. 57% of my audience like to watch mockumentuarys such as Little Britain and Come Fly with Me. However a majority of them like to watch Summer Heights High. On average my data shows that of the 100% who completed my survey 43% would give on a scale of one to ten how much they like watching mockumentuarys a seven. From this data I can conclude that my audience like to watch mockumentuarys that have comedy in them considering that they are a young target audience. Therefore in my mockumentuary so not to lose the audience we would include some comedy in my mockumentuary. However I think that it would be bad to include comedy in our mockumentuary because it may cause the audience to not understand the mockumentuary and it may also make the mockumentuary seem unprofessional.

Mockumentuary Script Scene 1 and 2

Act 1. Scene 1

EXT. SCHOOL. MONDAY

It is a new term at Bermondsey High and the entire senior year is on their way to the school hall for their school briefing. ROSIE, who is the most popular girl in school, enters the school with her two disciples. DAISY, who is the smartest out of the two walks to ROSSIES’ right with DAISY who is not bright at all, stands to ROSSIES’ left.

ROSIE

So girls who do you think is going to be elected for prom queen. I think I should be don’t you think. I mean I am the prettiest out all of you and besides who wouldn’t want to elect…………

DAISY

(DAISY glares at ROSSIE in rage. She doesn’t say anything but shows and expression of pity.)

ROSIE

So yeah. What do you think DAISY? Don’t tell me you have drifted off again. You’re so stupid, when do you ever consider my feelings huh. I think someone owes someone and apology. Don’t you.

DAISY

 (look’s at ROSIE with pure frustration, however decides to speak back to her with a rather sarcastic tone)

Ow I’m sorry ROSIE please forgives me I didn’t mean to be mean. I promise I will be good promise!

ROSSIE (gives DAISY a sneer)

Don’t be a child you idiot. Who do take me for? Listen right and listen very carefully......

ROSIE sees one of her boyfriends entering the gate decides to go to him without finishing her sentence, flaunting herself as if seeking attention first from RYLAND before she actually gets to him

 

                                    Daisy

(Rolls her eyes as if she doesn’t care, then decides to follow into the school hall)

INT. MONDAY. SCHOOL HALL

All the girls and boys enter the school with some faces showing utter excitement with other showing no trace of facial expression whatsoever. At the far corner of the hall it where the three girls ROSIE, DAISY and POPPY have plan to sit however when they get there, serious trouble awaits them.

                  POPPY (looking and the girls on their table)

Uhm ROSIE, who exactly are those hideous girls sitting on our table. They’ve got a face you just wanna slap. I mean eww look at that one’s nails, when was the last time she got them clipped? Three words girl. MAN. E. CURE. Wait that is three words right.

 

            ROSIE (looks at POPPY then DAISY)

Slap her would you DAISY. And yes it’s one word you fish face. When are you going to stop eating? Maybe if stopped eating all that crap that you like stuffing yourself with you might just have enough space inside that pea seized brain of yours to fit at least the smallest kind of common sense but no. You’d rather stuff yourself.

(ROSIE ties to relax before going to the girls on the table still with the bitter frustration left on her face)

 

                  DAISY (apologetically does as she is told)

POPPY (acting as if the slap meant nothing with her face as straight as steel)  

All of the three girls approach their table to find and find a girls sitting on their chairs.

 

ROSIE (makes herself look like an ice queen with flaming eyes)

Oi I’m sorry but this is our table and in case you haven’t realised, you’re not wanted. So I suggest you take your ugly little selves and go elsewhere or right? F.Y.I you over there, you might wanta consider threading. You’ve got whisker growing out your nose. Just saying.

POPPY an DAISY both go silence and wait to see what ROSIE does next. While the other girls sitting on the table decide to leave after the embarrassment they have just witnessed.

ELLA (embarrassed by what ROSIE says talks to her friends as they leave the table

That girl ROSIE is so cruel I can’t believe she just said that. If only I could...

Just before ELLA could finish her sentence Principal Linken enters the hall

Scene 2

Principal Linken takes the stage as he starts to call out the names of the girls and the boys who have been nominated for head GIRL and head BOY.

 

                              PRINCIPAL LINKEN

Good morning student as we all know today is a very exciting day for most if not all of you as we are going to be having our yr 11 prom this evening. But firstly I am going to call out the names of all of those who have been nominated as head girl and head boy, so when I call your name come to the stage then I will call on the winners.

 

                        ROSIE (stands on the table)

Just so you all know that crown is mine.                                     

(Turns around to blow RYLAND a kiss before sitting down)

 

DAISY (secretly gives ROSSIE a sneer but when ROSSIE looks at her flaunts a warming sisterly smile)

 

                  PRINIPALE LINKEN (puts his glasses on)

RYLAND, JAMES and ALEX, please come to the stage you have been nominated for head boy.

 

ELLA, ROSSIE and DAISY, please come to the stage you have been nominated for head girl.

 

ROSIE rushes to the stage and places herself right next to RYLAND giving the other two girls dirty looks. Daisy, stands next to ELLA who she realises are actually trying to hide herself from ROSIE but decide not to say anything.

 

                  PRINCIPAL LINKEN

An head boy goes to...RYLAND.

The students cheer as RYLAND goes to give each of the other guys handshakes as a sign of respect

           

ROSIE (cheers on RYLAND while she tries to calm herself)

            GO RYLAND. Sorry girls this one is mine

 

                              PRINCIPALE LINKEN

            And the head girl is..ROSSIE congratulations.

Both ELLA and ROSSIE leave the stage with no sign of facial expressions, whilst ROSIE goes to get her crown and stand beside RYLAND.

 

So students here you have it these are you new head boy and head girl RYLAND BANKS and ROSIE LEE JACKSON. You may now leave the hall.

 

                  ROSIE (flirting with RYLAND)

So, who you taking to the dance tonight? Anyone special.

                              RYLAND (trying to keep a straight face)

            Umm, I don’t know. How about you?

                              ROSIE (keeps a relaxed face)

            Umm no one, why.

                              RYLAND

I was wondering if you want to go to the dance with me. I mean if that’s ok with you.

                  ROSIE (blushing)

Yes you can come and pick me up at 7

                              RYLAND

            Seven it is.

With nothing else to say to each other both RYLAND and ROSSIE leave the gate with flushed faces giving each other side way glimpses. DAISY gives her friend ROSIE a long stare and waits until she can no longer see her before she too heads home

Mockumentuary Scene 1 and 2 plan

What’s going to happen In our first scene?

Act 1 scene 1

§  The girls are going to be in school and just as the three girls enter the gate they will be talking about what they are going to wear and what they are planning for the prom and who they think might be elected for the head boy and girl for the prom?

§  An assembly will be called and all students will be in the assembly hall, everybody goes to their own clicks tables and silence is called. And all of a sudden Rosie stands on a table and says “everyone elects me to be prom queen…” and everybody tells her to be quiet and sit down.

§  Rosie and one of her current boyfriends have both been elected for head boy and girl and they both walk onto the stage. Daisy has a screw face and mutters something underneath her breath and Rosie asks her if she has a problem and daisy reply’s with nothing at all and gets really embarrassed because everybody is laughing at her.

Act 1 scene 2

§  Everybody is leaving school and everybody at Bermondsey high is congratulating Rosie on becoming head once again.

§  Rosie is in a rush to get home in excitement about tonight prom in school.

§  She arrives at home and suddenly finds an unexpected note on her door saying she is going to be evicted from her flat. In horror rushes into her empty flat were all furnisher is being taken away, the bay lifts are still in the flat. Rosie mum Carly stands in front of Rosie as she cries that she is sorry , Rosie pushes her mum aside and runs into her bedroom and grabs her prom dress and make up to go to daisy’s house to get ready.

§  It is still raining outside and Rosie runs across the road to daisy’s house , she is knocking at the door and there is no answer what she doesn’t know is daisy is looking out of the top laughing and not letting her in.

§  Rosie runs away from the house and falls on the edge of the kerb not noticing that RYLAND her date is standing at the other end of the street. ROSSIE get of the road and rushes to school as not to be late for the prom; shame smeared all over her face.

Purpose of show:        To mock the typical mixed secondary school and the people in it. To give the audience an insight to what teenagers do on a day to day basis.

Synopsis:                       Our show follows the lives of the stereo-typical teenage characters at a mixed secondary school coping with the ups and downs of teenage life. In our Mockumentuary we will follow the lives of the ever popular Rosie Lee Jackson and her dispels Poppy and Daisy also known as “Thunder” and “Lightning”. So tune in to what teenage life in a troublesome secondary school may reveal!

Target audience:        Our target audience are teenagers and their parents, parents will be interested to see what their child’s learning environment is like and the teenagers will like to watch at the end of the day to compare their school experiences and our characters experiences.

 

Writting a Recee

Act 1 scene 1

We are going to film our first scene outside on the picnic tables. We need to film there because our fist scene involves our characters walking through the school gates making their way to the tables. We need to film there because it gives us an open space to film and makes the background of our scene look more realistic rather re than just filming inside the dinning hall. It is appropriate for our mockumentuary because if suits the idea of being in a crowded school playground. One health and safety issues may be if it rains, however we can prevent this by checking the weather forecast. Another safety issue could be if it gets too crowded people might not be able to look were they are going and might trip over the equipment. Another issue linking to the scene being to crowded could be that if the characters are too close together or too close to the camera we would not be able to get clear shots of the scene. This would make our mockumentuary look unprofessional therefore as a solution to this we can create barriers as to were the character can and cannot pass in order to prevent injuries of our characters.

Act 1 scene 2

We are going to film our second scene in the Fireman hall. This would suite our mockumentuary as it makes our scene seem more realistic. The fact that our scene is in a hall and the fireman hall is a ‘hall’ makes everything seem believable. We need to film there as it looks like a hall so it would suite the scene where the girls are having their prom. One health and safety issue could be that the hall has very small windows and the prom is going to take place during the evening therefore it would be hard to make the scene clear for the viewers as it would be dark. Another health and safety issue could be that there are too many steps and if the room is too dark the characters wouldn’t be able to see were they are going causing them to have and accident.  This accident could lead to a number of our characters not being able to participate in the mockumentuary. A solution to this could be to ensure that there is enough light in the room as a way to make sure that there are safe.

Act 1 scene 3

We are going to film our third scene in an estate, preferably in one of our character bedrooms. By doing this we are able to ensure that our scene looks  realistic  and as if we are actually here instead of using green background effect to create an unrealistic background. Unfortunately however this can cause some health and safety hazards, one being that the characters may fall down the stairs because of the size in which we are trying to film in or that they may fall and trip over some of the technical equipment. Therefore in order to prevent this we are going to film  this scene outside of the tower block as it looks like a flat so it would be most suitable to shoot there. Another health and safety hazard could be that if we are going to be filming in a public area where people live we are going to have to be cautious as to how much noise we make as we would not want to be causing discomfort to the residents that live there. However filming in the tower block does may also have some of it’s own health and safety hazards. For example, the tower block it 8 floor up which means that it may block out most of the sunlight available for us to take good shots with our camera as we would not want to be taking shoot that are not clear to see. Therefore in order to prevent this we need to be able to make sure that the area that we are going to be filming in the tower block whether it be inside or outside has enough source of sunlight.
